AMEENA HAYAT

              I have no idea what the future holds for me and no one really can but at times life can get difficult at times but the only way to get through those moments is by staying positive and trying your best at whatever you are doing. I would like to maintain my optimistic and caring values that I currently have and hope to carry them with me throughout my life. As of right now my goal is to become a teacher for elementary school students, however that could always change. Though I don’t know where I will be I do plan to stay in the bay area because there is nothing like it!

              Over the next couple of years I want to go to community college here in Alameda and transfer to a four year university, hopefully UC Davis. I chose this route because I feel that it will give me time to explore my options as well as prepare myself better. I am still deciding whether I would like to major in psychology or sociology. I am also considering having a minor in Middle East/South Asian Studies. I hope to meet people during my college experience who will not only encourage me to complete my education but to be called my family.
